Admission Process & Registration

At Black Diamond Public School, Jamui, we believe in providing every child with a fair opportunity to join our community of learners. The admission process is designed to be transparent, simple, and efficient.

Admission Schedule

  • Registration for Classes I to IX begins in the last week of November every year.
  • Registration forms are available at the school office counter or can be downloaded from the website.
  • Registration for Class XI begins in the second week of June, based on AISSE and other Board results.
  • Academic Session: April to March.

Admission Procedure

  • Admission to Classes I to IX is granted on the basis of a written entrance test and seat availability.
  • Admission to Class XI is based on Class X Board results and interaction/interview (if required).
  • Submission of the registration form only entitles the student to appear for the entrance test — it does not guarantee admission.
  • Students from other schools must produce a Transfer Certificate (TC) from their previous school.
  • The school reserves the right to admit only those students who are found eligible and suitable in all respects.

Fee Policy

  • All fees are charged for twelve months (April to March).
  • Fees should be paid by the 15th of every month. A fine of ₹1 per day is charged for late payment.
  • Fees can be paid in advance for convenience.
  • If dues remain unpaid for a full month, the student’s name may be struck off the register on the 10th of the following month. Re-admission may be granted by the Principal with payment of readmission fees and pending dues.
  • All fees once paid are non-refundable.
  • Fee structure may be revised before a new session and will be notified through circulars.

Rules for Admission

  • All entries in the admission form must be neat and accurate. Date of birth cannot be changed as per government regulations.
  • A Transfer Certificate is mandatory for students from other schools.
  • Children aged 3½ years are eligible for admission to the Nursery class.
  • Admission fees are non-refundable.
  • One month’s prior notice or one month’s fee in lieu of notice is required for withdrawal.
  • Students are encouraged to speak in English and maintain discipline and good manners.
  • Parents and students are expected to follow CBSE norms and standards.

Rules & Discipline for Students

  • School Hours: Pre-Nursery to Class II → 8:15 AM to 12:00 Noon.
  • Students must attend school regularly and punctually.
  • Absence for more than 15 consecutive days without intimation will result in removal from the rolls.
  • Wearing ornaments or bringing valuables is not allowed.
  • Running or shouting in the school premises is prohibited.
  • Students must maintain good manners, discipline, and cleanliness at all times.

Session & Evaluation

  • The academic session runs from April to March.
  • Monthly assessments and an Annual Examination (in March) are conducted.
  • Promotion to the next class is based on overall performance during the session.
  • Parents receive regular progress updates and are encouraged to attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
